Emily Chamberlin is a professional theatre artist, dancer, actress, choreographer, certified Chowakai Black Belt karate instructor and dance teacher based in New York, U.S.A.
Emily has danced and acted in films and can most recently be seen in the Emmy and Golden Globe award winning fourth season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. A native of Northern Virginia, Emily graduated with her BFA in Contemporary Dance from the University of North Carolina. School of the Arts. Emily's love for the collaborative and performing arts was nurtured from a young age and has been growing internationally since moving to New York.
She has collaborated as a choreographer and artist with United Nations Ambassador for the Arts, Ibiyinka Femi Alao, as well as artists Ana Hernando and Peter Obond James. Since moving to New York, she has studied and performed with several choreographers, including Joanna MendelShaw, David Dorfman and Steven Kopkowitz, as well as choreographing and performing in her own work at the 5 Burroughs in New York.
She is an expert in many styles of dance, including Indian/Western Bollywood fusion, musical theatre, swing dance, bachata, salsa on 1 and commercial dance. She is a certified black belt karate instructor and a Rudolf Steiner Waldorf preschool assistant teacher.
