Less than a fortnight ago we presented this project, with its own website, blog and Instagram profile, and today we can share the first steps of this great collaboration. We want to tell you good news, which in these difficult times is more necessary than ever, and thank you for your contributions as patrons of what we are creating. As we said, the presentation of the choreography that Emily Chamberlin and Peter James are creating will take place in Alcalá de Henares and now we can tell you more details, although we don't have specific dates.

On 24 February, the City Council of Alcalá de Henares announced that it will pay tribute to those who died in this pandemic, scheduled for this March, with the unveiling of the sculpture "Somos abrazo" by Ana Hernando, as a memorial that will be located at the Puerta de Madrid, a landmark as the entrance to the historic part of this World Heritage City. It will also thank the solidarity of institutions, companies, associations and volunteers in an institutional act in the Cervantes Theatre on Sunday 3 April.

This will be a great event that we are particularly excited about as this work is the soul of our project, this sculpture has brought us together to combine the plastic art of this artist with the movement and choreographies of Peter and Emily to multiply the emotion of the Art itself.

It seems unbelievable how much we have done in such a short time and we want to thank you for continuing to support our enthusiasm by following us on Instagram, commenting and being part of everything with your contributions. Very soon we will receive the cards on which we will sign to thank you and to keep us close, the exclusive pin with our logo is also in the process of production. We are making progress in the preparations for the press conference and we will start to present our dossier to potential sponsors. We are building a team of image and sound professionals to record the process, the rehearsals and the final choreographies. In short, many steps that announce a long road and in which we feel accompanied by you and by all of you who encourage us in this adventure. We will record a dance video in the streets of this city together with the sculpture to thank you for your support and to share how special it is that this project arises in this place in the world, where Miguel de Cervantes was born and which is a reference of Culture and History. Everything is taking shape!

On our website we will publish the names of all those who are supporting the project with your donations, we are designing a simple space that will be very special for us. To gather and connect those who feel embraced, those who believe in this project and in what art and dance can contribute to society. Art to live, to remember the best thing we have as human beings: the solidarity of being abrazo.
