9 April 2022
Last Thursday, 7 April, the recording of the first choreography of this project took place in the city of Alcalá de Henares, a joint creation by Emily Chamberlin and Peter James based on the music of Elliott Chamberlin and created at the same time as the emotions captured in movement. Ana Hernando 's sculpture "Somos abrazo" ("We are embrace"), the work that is the origin of this creation, also took part. The City Council has provided all the facilities to be able to carry out filming in the Plaza Puerta de Madrid, where the bronze sculpture is located; in the ruins of the church of Santa María, an emblematic place next to the Plaza de Cervantes, which has become the perfect setting for the choreography; they also gave us the inner courtyard of the Department of Culture for the more detailed shots of this project. We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for their involvement in this project, which we will present at a later date and hand over to the city when the final staging is ready.
We also want to thank the work of the dancers who have worked with all their talent, professionalism and enthusiasm in this universal embrace, with only one rehearsal in common before the recording day the result has been excellent and the good atmosphere reflected the connection with this project. Let's introduce them so you can know a little more about them. They deserve our applause for the talent and commitment they have given us, thank you!
